Tom Kern is a Loan Officer with Team Schwegler at United Mortgage Corp, licensed in New York and Pennsylvania. He got into the mortgage business through his friend Bill Schwegler, who has run a successful lending practice for over a decade. Tom joined Bill’s team to learn from someone who does it the right way. What keeps him here is helping people get into a home.
Tom works with first-time buyers, veterans using their VA benefits, self-employed borrowers, homeowners who want to refinance, and older homeowners looking at a reverse mortgage. He knows buying a home or refinancing is a big decision, so he explains each step clearly and makes sure his clients know where they stand.
Discipline matters to Tom outside the office too. He trains jiu-jitsu and kickboxing three to four times a week, lifts four days a week, and has been teaching himself guitar. He brings that same steady work ethic to every loan.
