My journey into the world of finance began over a decade ago with one simple dream: to help people reach financial freedom and make their dreams a reality. I was raised in Selma, Alabama—a city known for its historical significance in the Civil Rights Movement. It’s also where my love for numbers and finance began. Growing up, I learned the importance of financial literacy at an early age, especially due to my mother’s disabilities. I was balancing a checkbook by the time I was eight years old.
Some might say I was destined for a career in finance, but I believe I was meant to assist people. My mother taught me to always think of others, to be kind, patient, and selfless. These values guided me in becoming a successful financial needs specialist, and they continue to influence the way I approach my work today.
My Career Journey:
In 2011, I began my career in finance, driven by the desire to help others achieve their financial dreams. I quickly realized how vital financial education and literacy are to everyday life and decision-making. This passion led me to move to Talladega, Alabama, where I joined a corporate bank. There, I honed my skills and had the privilege of helping many families and business owners reach their financial goals—whether it was purchasing their dream home, starting a business, or retiring comfortably to enjoy life.
